Dr. Marcelino Muñoz Sánchez is an influential leader in education, business, and international diplomacy, with a lifelong dedication to human rights, sustainable development, and social impact across various sectors and continents.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Pedagogy from the Centro Educativo de Puebla in Mexico and a Bachelor's degree in Educational Sciences from Innova Educacional Services in Miami, Florida, officially apostilled by The Hague. Dr. Muñoz Sánchez was honored as a Doctor of Ministerial Theology by the Latin American Theological University in Guatemala. Additionally, he was appointed Chaplain and Human Rights Delegate by the Parliamentary Chaplaincy MQIPA-ONU, in Jalapa, Guatemala. His academic training also includes executive education at IPADE in Monterrey, Mexico, and IESE in Madrid, Spain, both in partnership with Harvard Business School.
Dr. Muñoz Sánchez actively engages in numerous international organizations, serving as a member of the Rotary Club Águila Real CDMX, the World Economic Forum, and the Conference of the Parties on Climate Change (COP 28). He is working toward membership in the Marcelino Muñoz Foundation at the United Nations and belongs to the Grand Priory of Spain, Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem. His outstanding contributions have earned recognition from close relatives of King Felipe VI of Spain. Furthermore, he serves as Honorary President of the Academy of History and Geography of Nuevo León, in collaboration with the Autonomous University of Mexico.
At just 18 years old, Dr. Muñoz Sánchez founded Grupo Jomar and its Jomar Autoparts chain, which has grown to 60 business units across 12 Mexican states, employing over 1,300 people. He also established the Marcelino Muñoz University Institute, with campuses in Rio Bravo and Monterrey.

In 2000, he launched the Marcelino Muñoz Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing global challenges such as educational and social inequality, poverty, violence, unplanned pregnancies, addiction, health issues, discrimination, and corruption. The foundation promotes educational, economic, health, and environmental programs aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as part of the 20/50 agenda through strategic international cooperation.
His work has earned him national and international recognition in both public and private sectors. Dr. Muñoz Sánchez has received three literary awards (two in Peru and one in Mexico) and distinguished citizen awards from multiple countries. He holds the Guinness World Record for organizing the largest virtual conference on physical, mental, and emotional health, with over 3,000 participants. Recognized as one of the world's leading public speakers by the International Speakers Association, he has inspired audiences of over 12,000 people across five continents.
As an athlete, Dr. Muñoz Sánchez was a Pan-American Karate Champion from 1981 to 1986 and has participated in several marathons, including five consecutive 42-kilometer races. In 2000, the Minister of Tourism in Jerusalem honored him as a Pilgrim of the New Millennium.
Among his many accolades, Dr. Muñoz Sánchez received the International Sparrow of Peace Award in 2023 in Peru, and he was recognized as a Missionary of Peace in Miami by Peace Action, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2022, the International Prime Award was bestowed upon him in Dubai for the best educational programs.
Dr. Muñoz Sánchez holds 11 honorary doctorates from prestigious institutions worldwide for his efforts in promoting education, peace, and human rights. He was also honored by La Costeña as one of Mexico's 100 most outstanding individuals and received the Palmas de Oro award for Professional Excellence from the National Journalists Circle in March 2024.
His influence extends into media, with 2 million followers on social media platforms, reaching 50 million people and generating over 8 million interactions monthly. In 2023, Dr. Muñoz Sánchez was nominated for the Nobel Peace and Literature Prizes by the Swedish and Norwegian Academies.
